This 5,000 m² BFT facility in Piura produces Nile tilapia for domestic and export markets. Before upgrading, the farm relied on daily manual testing of ammonia, nitrite, pH, and DO — missing nighttime and post-feeding fluctuations. Ammonia spikes (>2.5 mg/L) occurred weekly, requiring emergency carbon dosing and causing stress-related mortality. FCR averaged 1.8, above industry benchmarks. TSS/FV₃₀ was tested weekly, often exceeding 60 mL/L before corrective action.
